The 17th Warrington East (3rd Lymm) scout troop is run by Ed and Steve with help from an "A-Team" of parents.

Scouts is for Girls and Boys from 10 1/2 to 14.

We meet on a Monday evening from 7pm - 9pm, and as leaders we have two main aims within the 3rd Lymm scout group, which are for Scouts to have fun but at the same time learn new skills, that will help the scouts in later life.

We have a strict maximum of 24 scouts to ensure we maximise the fun, safety and learning experience. As we are a parent led group we expect all parents to get involved in the running of the section and wider group.

Our ethos is very much putting the 'OUT' in Scouting

We have teams on the Cheshire Hike, and Equinox competitions

Camps include Chamboree, Chariot Race, Cattaro Patrol Leader training, Waterloo Shooting Competition and many more

During our Monday night programs where we feel very strongly about teaching skills required in a real world environment. and getting out of the HQ as much as possible. Climbing, Wide games, Night Hikes, Orienteering, Fires, Axe, Knives and Saws, DIY, Police Station visits, caving and canoeing and raft building.

Water Sports are covered by Paddles Blazing at Grappenhall, raft building, Bell boating, and the district and county camps we attend. We also have our own Canoes and Canoe trailer.

We also believe in helping and getting out in the community as much as possible supporting the Rotary Club in their Annual Swimathon and our latest project of building an Orienteering course at Spud Wood and the Dam.

Lots of children come into scouts to do activities they wouldn't normally do, be it water sports, adventurous activities or learn new life skills. We are very lucky to have a strong leadership team and parents who can deliver these.
